ViaGuara PLC is the legal successor of ViaGuara LLC. Because of the comapny’s character, it uses the trademark ViaGuará ® in its business practice. To obtain legal protection of the said trademark in goods class 33, the trademark was registered with the Polish Patent Office on November 3, 1998.
The company also possesses Certificates of Registration in the USA, Japan and Mexico and has submitted applications for trademark registration in Canada, Australia, China, Switzerland, Croatia, Kazakhstan, Norway, Hong Kong, South Africa, Malaysia and New Zealand, where they are currently pending registration. Furthermore, by way of the WIPO (World Intellectual Property Organization) system, ViaGuara S.A. has submitted trademark registration applications in Belarus, Czech Republic, Germany, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine and Slovakia.
In 2007, the Company entered into an agreement with Podlaska Wytwórnia Vodka “POLMOS” PLC in Siedlce for the production and distribution, in Poland and abroad, of the ViaGuará ® trademark alcoholic beverage. According to the agreement, ViaGuara granted Polmos Siedlce PLC the license to manufacture and sell the product using the Company trademark. In August 2007, ViaGuara PLC was one of the first companies to debut on the NewConnect trading market organized by the Warsaw Stock Exchange. In 2008, ViaGuara PLC developed a non-alcoholic energy drink recipe under the name ViaGuará ® Energy Drink. That same year, the drink was introduced onto the Polish market.
